Court dismisses copyright suit against Justin Bieber and Usher

A court has dismissed a copyright suit
brought against Justin Bieber and Usher
by a singer named Devin Copeland.
Copeland had in 2015 sued both acts
alleging their 2010 song “ Somebody to
Love” infinged on his copyrights as both
songs sound similar.
Pitchfork reports the federal judge does
not agree with Copeland, describing
similarities between Copeland’s song and
Bieber’s “Somebody to Love” as
“‘modest’ at best” and did not deem the
similiarities enough to pursue a lawsuit.
