Twitter is adding another feature, “Topics” to Spaces. Topics will allow hosts to add tags to their Spaces to help users find their audio rooms easily. You can add up to three relevant topics so that like-minded individuals can find you.

The functionality is currently restricted. It’s only available to Android users, and there are only ten Topics in total that users can pick from. The Topics are only available in English. Twitter, on the other hand, claimed that iOS support is on the way and that the number of accessible Topics will expand “as we create together.”

Business and Finance, Music, Sports, Technology, Gaming, World News, Entertainment, Arts and Culture, Home and Family, and Careers are among the first ten Topics available on Twitter, which individuals may select to follow to get relevant content on their timelines.

The company announced in a tweet, “new in Spaces: Topics! when creating or scheduling a Space, some of you on Android can choose up to 3 Topics to tag it with from a list of our top 10 Topics. BUT it’s only 10 Topics for now and we’ll expand as we build together. English only (also for now!), iOS soon.”

The addition of topics to Twitter Spaces makes it function very closely to how Clubhouse works. Clubhouse has different topics and clubs where users can explore and join based on their preferences.

Since launching Spaces, Twitter has been constantly upgrading it to make it better for users. In recent months, the company started rolling out Ticketed Spaces as a way to support creators on Twitter for their time and effort in hosting.

Tesla, an electric vehicle manufacturer based in California, is anticipated to manufacture 300,000 cars in the first nine months of 2021, according to Reuters.

Despite a global semiconductor scarcity, the vehicles will be manufactured at Tesla’s Shanghai facility.

Model 3 sedans and Model Y sport-utility vehicles are produced at the Shanghai facility for both local and foreign markets, including Germany and Japan.

China is Tesla’s second-largest market after the United States, accounting for about 30% of worldwide sales and contributing to the automaker’s record first-quarter car deliveries.

According to figures from the China Passenger Car Association, over 240,000 cars were transported from the facility in the first eight months, with many of them destined for export.

Tesla’s plant is projected to produce 450,000 vehicles this year, including 66,100 for export, according to the report.

What you should know

  • Tesla is employing legal and external relations managers in China, where the company is under criticism for data security and customer service issues.
  • The Palo Alto, California-based company makes electric sedans and SUVs, and investors are optimistic about the possibility of global government policies encouraging the adoption of electric vehicles. Tesla built a factory to manufacture its large-scale Megapack battery system. Megapack energy storage is intended for utilities.
  • Tesla also just released a long-awaited software update that allows consumers to request access to the company’s Full Self-Driving Beta (FSD beta).
  • Tesla will only provide access to drivers who have a high safety rating. The self-driving beta is promoted as a means for a Tesla to change lanes, navigate on the highway, move into a parking spot, or roll out of a parking spot to drive a short distance at a slow speed without the need for a human driver.
  • Elon Musk owns 20% of Tesla, and he is entitled to receive billions more from his payroll agreement based on Tesla stock.
  • Tesla, the world’s most valuable automaker recorded a 2.75% gain in stock market trade on Friday, exceeding a $764.55 buy point.

Apple released the first beta for iOS 15.1 on Tuesday, exactly one day after iOS 15 rolled out to the public. All that we know so far is that the latest beta contains bug fixes and improvements, but we’ll be sure to share an update if and when we learn more about the new software.

First of all, we should note that all of the devices that were supported by iOS 14 will be supported by iOS 15 as well, so if you were able to update to iOS 14, you’re in the clear for at least one more year, even if you’re still using an iPhone 6s Plus, an iPad Air 2, or an iPad mini 4.

What’s new in iOS 15.1 beta 1?

After removing SharePlay in iOS 15 beta 2, Apple has re-enabled the feature in the iOS 15.1, iPadOS 15.1, and tvOS 15.1 betas. You’ll no longer need the SharePlay Development Profile for the feature to work. Also, users can now upload their COVID-19 vaccination status in the Health app and generate a vaccination card in Apple Wallet. This will be useful for places that require proof of vaccination.

Which devices work with iOS 15.1 beta 1?

iOS 15.1 beta 1 is now available to developers, as is iPadOS 15.1 beta 1. If you want to know whether or not your device is compatible with iOS 15 or iPadOS 15, we put together a full list below containing every supported device. If your device is on the list, you’re good to go:

How to download and install iOS 15.1 beta 1 profile

Just navigate to Settings > General > Software Update and then tap “Download and Install” at the bottom of that page. 5 new iPhone features that’ll make you want to install iOS 15 immediately

After several betas and months of build-up, Apple earlier this week officially released iOS 15 to the masses. Admittedly, iOS 15 doesn’t have a singular killer feature that overshadows the rest. This is especially true in light of the fact that SharePlay is delayed. Still, the iOS 15 update boasts enough features and performance enhancements to make upgrading a no-brainer.

It’s been a few months since WWDC so it’s perfectly understandable if you’ve already forgotten about some of iOS 15’s more compelling features. With that said, we’ve highlighted 5 particularly intriguing features that might persuade you to download and install the update immediately.

New iOS 15 features

Focus Mode

A productivity feature like Focus Mode may not seem intriguing, but Apple’s implementation is quite clever. With Focus Mode, users can set up different workflows to help them focus on the task at hand. For instance, you can set up a work mode that keeps pesky notifications from ESPN from popping up. Conversely, you could just as easily set up a weekend mode wherein you don’t see any incoming notifications from work colleagues.

What’s more, users can set things up such that certain apps aren’t even visible under certain modes. In the work mode example, for instance, users can easily ensure that apps like Facebook and Twitter don’t show up on the home screen so that you won’t be tempted.

Live Text

Live Text effectively delivers OCR functionality to your iPhone. The feature lets users easily select text from scanned photos and paste it elsewhere. A video showing how smooth Live Text is in action can be seen below:

The new built-in iOS 15 text selection feature is slick!

1. Tap in any text field
2. Tap the Scan Text icon
3. Point phone at any text to slurp it in.

Even works with handwritten text! https://t.co/jkUBuWZEO8 pic.twitter.com/MU8GdK27b3 #ifttt

FaceTime for everyone

The coronavirus pandemic saw Zoom become a household name. In turn, Zoom’s feature set quickly highlighted how lackluster FaceTime was as a video conferencing app.

With iOS 15, Apple upgraded FaceTime across the board. One of the more exciting new features is the ability to use FaceTime to video chat with Android and PC users. To do so, simply fire up the FaceTime app. Next, select the “Create Link” option at the top. From there, you can send that link out to anyone you want for a scheduled FaceTime call.

Improved text selection

Text selection with iOS 13 took a bizarre step backward. Apple for some reason did away with the beloved magnification loup and replaced it with a scheme that simply was less useful. With iOS 15, users can once again use the magnifying glass to select text.

Interacting with the iOS 14 copy & paste menu obscured the word you were trying to view. iOS 15 solves this problem by adding a text loupe that duplicates the text above your finger with a magnifying glass effect so you can see what you are selecting. 15/ @malonso pic.twitter.com/42RPiu0vo5

Never forget your iPhone, iPad, or Mac again

Sure, Find my iPhone is great, but it’s preferable to not misplace it in the first place. With iOS 15, you can set things up such that you’ll get an alert when a device — whether it’s an iPhone or an iPad — is left behind.

So, for example, if you’re at a coffee shop and pack up and go and leave your iPad behind accidentally, you’ll see an alert on your iPhone.

You can access this feature by going to the Find My app on your iPhone and selecting Devices. From here you can determine which device you’d like to receive alerts for.

Update: List Of Smartphones That Won't Be Supported By WhatsApp After 1st Of November 2021

WhatsApp is the most popular messaging app in the world. But even with its wide reach, the app can’t support all our devices forever. The company regularly updates its help center to let users know which devices it still supports. The list of supported devices is going to dwindle
once again on November 1st, 2021.

List Of Smartphones That Won't Be Supported By WhatsApp After 1st Of November 2021

Starting this November, WhatsApp will no longer support devices running anything older than Android 4.1. Other supported OSes include iOS 10 or newer and KaiOS 2.5.1 or newer.

Google debuted Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich nearly ten years ago on October 18th, 2011. It’s very unlikely that your phone is running anything lower than Android 4.0.4, which was the final update for Ice Cream Sandwich. As long as you can update your phone to at least Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (which Google released in 2012), you can keep using WhatsApp. For now, anyway.

The same is true for anyone who bought an iPhone before 2016. Apple rolled out iOS 10 alongside the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The good news is that Apple supports its devices for far longer than many of its rivals. Here’s a list of every iPhone that can be upgraded to at least iOS 10:

iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone SE (1st-gen), iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone SE (2nd-gen), iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max

If you’re still rocking an iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S after all these years, it might be time for an upgrade. If you don’t use WhatsApp, maybe you can squeeze a few more years out of it yet.

If you are one of the select few people that need to upgrade to keep using WhatsApp, the process is relatively easy. As long as you’re moving from iPhone to iPhone or Android to Android, you can easily transfer your chat history. WhatsApp published an entire page detailing the process on its website.

XENOPHOBIC ATTACKS AGAINST NIGERIANS IN S/AFRICA TREND ON GOOGLE

The xenophobic attacks against Nigerians in South Africa is one of the mostly searched items on Google this week, the company announced on Thursday.
Mr Taiwo Kola-Ogunlade, Google’s Communications and Public Affairs Manager, Anglophone West Africa, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the search was from Feb. 23 to March 1.
“Relationship between Nigeria and South Africa became slightly strained this week, when allegations of xenophobic attacks against Nigerians in South Africa ruled the internet,’’ he said.
The Google manager said that people’s attention was also caught online by the depreciation of the U.S. dollar against Nigeria’s naira.
“The dollar, after moving up like a rocket going to space, lost speed this week as the Nigerian naira strengthened to N425 per dollar at the parallel market.
“This is being hailed as a relief after remaining at N500 per dollar rate in the last few months.
“Reports are saying this development is a result of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s recent modification to the forex policy,’’ Kola-Ogunlade said.
He added that release of the video of the song of the late talented singer, Eric Ayobami, also trended on Google.
“Although the death of talented singer has continued to shock his friends and fans, the long-awaited video of his song, The Sound, was released during the week,’’ he said.
The spokesperson said that the released video was for television broadcast and video-sharing websites such as YouTube.
According to Kola-Ogunlade, the news of the death of Neil Fingleton, the Games of Throne actor, who died at the age of 36, also trended.
He noted that the seven-foot-seven-inch British actor played the giant Mag-the-Mighty in the popular American fantasy drama television series, “Games of Throne’’.
“The actor, a former basketball player, was recognised in 2007 by the Guinness World Record as the tallest man in the U.K.,’’ Kola-Ogunlade said.
He said that people also searched much about the start of the Lenten season.
“Ash Wednesday which usually welcomes lent took place this week.
“It kicked off 40 days of intense reflections through prayers and fasting observed by many Christians across the world.
“Catholics are known to go to church to be blessed with ashes on their foreheads in the shape of a cross to signify repentance and mortality.’’
Kola-Ogunlade said that other stories that trended on Google included results on the La Liga Table and European League Draw, and the confession of American top actress, Viola Davis, about her struggle with impostor syndrome.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Google Trends, launched in May 2006, allows one to see how popular search terms and their demography have been overtime on Google.

Nokia promised to give us a revamp of the Nokia 3310 and they've done it.

Many people complained that the PPSSPP version wasn't working, so here's the version developed specifically for Android  by Konami. I was skeptical about posting links to this because Konami filed a report against all the sites hosting it's games. I'll advise you download this now before we get reported again.
