Wizkid signs new deal with Sony Music affiliate RCA Records

Nigeria’s Wizkid has signed a multi album deal with Sony music affiliate RCA records . An excited RCA records Chairman and CEO Peter Edge announced the deal saying: “We are thrilled to welcome WizKid to the RCA Records family. He has become a superstar in the African music scene and will be a game-changer in bringing African music to the world. We are extremely excited to have him as a part of RCA and are eager for the journey ahead.”
Commenting on the new deal, Sony Music international president of Northern & Eastern Europe and Africa Adam Granite said: “We couldn’t be more excited to welcome WizKid to the Sony Music family,”.
To commemorate the signing, Wizkid premiered his new single ‘Sweet Love’ on Zane Lowe’s show on Apple’s Beat 1 radio show.

She was spotted on set of MSN GANG’s first official signing
Oluwaseun Kobbe as they shot the video for his song ‘ Okulosun‘ featuring OritseFemi . The video was shot by Theophilus King in Lagos.

Raoul John Njeng-Njen popularly known as Skales has graced the cover of today’s Sunday Plus published inside Nigerian Tribune newspaper.
In this interview with Segun Adebayo, the singer talks about his upcoming sophomore album, his relationship and collaboration with Wizkid, as well as his new single ‘ Temper ‘ featuring highly sought-after reggae-dancehall sensation Burna Boy and is presently enjoying massive airplay across Nigerian radio and TV stations.
Speaking on plans for an
album this year, Skales replied;
“Absolutely! My album is complete – presently, we are just adding finishing touches to it. So, to answer your question; yes an album is on the way and it promises to be classic!”.
The singer further discussed the single ‘Temper’ with Burna Boy, which is actually a remix to the original single, which was released, in late 2016.
He remarks; “Truth be told; the story behind the ‘Temper’ remix is quite an interesting one. I sent Burna the instrumental to record a verse and he changed the whole song. Also, the chemistry between him and I was instantaneous and strong; hence the success. We also had a direction for the song; as we intended it to be a street anthem which will resonate with everyone out there”.
Skales went on to talk about his career and his moves for the year, his upcoming tour, amongst others.
