“The Real Reason Igbos Have Suffered Marginalisation In Nigeria” – Okorocha Says

Governor Rochas Okorocha has blamed Igbo leaders for the marginalisation of the people from the region in the country.
The nation reports that the Imo state governor lashed out at the leaders from the region for not living up to his expectation in attracting benefits of democracy to the region. This reaction came following complaints from
stakeholders in Ebonyi that the federal government was side-lining the people in the employment and empowerment programmes. Okorocha who was represented by the deputy Speaker of the Imo state House of Assembly, Ugonna Ozurigbo on a familiarisation visit to Ebonyi said President Muhammadu Buhari was not to blame for the inability of people of the region to enjoy the
benefits of democracy. He said the appointment of leaders from the state
into ministerial and other positions in the Federal government was to attract government’s presence to the party in the state. He promised that the issues raised in the forum would be duly addressed.
