Davido Wants To Bring Some ‘African Heat’ To An Episode Of ‘Empire’

From Grammy-winner Alicia Keys to Oscar-winner
Jennifer Hudson, Fox’s mega-hit, Empire, has had a
fair share of talents lending their powerful voices –
and their acting chops – to the musical drama.

While Empire is as diverse as TV shows come these
days, no African act has joined its impressive rooster
of musical talents, and who better to be the first,
than Afropop sensation, Davido – no, don’t say
Wizkid .
The great Cookie Lyon even approves: Taraji P.
Henson, the glue still holding that show together,
took to Instagram to express her love for Davido’s
latest single, “How Long”, with Tinashe.
Davido – not one to carry last – quickly took to
Instagram and Twitter to thank Taraji and ask for a
chance to bring “that African heat” to an episode of
the show – and we already know that Cookie Lyon
always gets what she wants.
With the hype surrounding Empire not anywhere as
strong as it was in it’s debut season, injecting the
infinitely-hyper Davido could be just the jolt its
lacklustre third season needs.
