Confusion! Messi Rejects New Barca Deal

Lionel Messi is currently stalling on renewing his
contract with Barcelona due to his tax fraud
investigations.
Reports in Marca have it that the Argentine has
refused to pen a new deal over concerns about his
tax fraud case. The 29-year-old forward was handed
a 21-month sentence after been found guilty for his
tax fraud case.
It is understood the Messi’s father and his advisers
have passed on the decision to the club
management, who received the news with
‘understandable shock’.
Messi’s woes with the Argentine national team
continued after the fell 3-0 to Brazil to put their
hopes of qualifying for the Russia 2018 World cup
into jeopardy.
Speaking after the match, the five-time Ballon d’or
winner told TyC Sports: “We did not expect this
result. Up to the first goal, the match was even, we
were doing well.
“It’s difficult when you get into these dynamics, in
this situation. The minimum is you get down and
everything turns out to be more difficult.

A move from the Catalan giants could be difficult as
