Buhari’s Group Begs Oyegun To Save President And His Ruling Party (Read Details)

As the march towards 2019 commences, the Buhari Support Organisation (BSO) is asking the chairman of the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, to do all within his powers to unify the party. Oyegun and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the national leader
of the party, had engaged in a political battle thus tearing the party apart.
It is believed that if this squabble is not immediately resolved, it could spell doom for the party in future elections considering the sacrifice Tinubu made to
see to the emergence of Buhari in 2015.
Tinubu was absent at the mega rally organised for Oluwarotimi Akeredolu recently and a governor claimed it was because he was ill. However, the former governor’s aide claimed he was not sick.
The State Coordinators Forum (SCF) of the organisation led by Engineer Ahmad Zakaria Ngoroje, made the call, according to Daily Trust. The report quoted Ngoroje as saying it did not augur well for the party to continue with its internal wranglings and suits. The group said it believed that the party had internal
mechanisms to resolve grievances and that these must be taken into consideration. “The national chairman of APC is a gentleman I respect so much and I think he has done well. But there is always room for improvement. The problem of the APC is coming mostly from the states and this needs to be looked into. “There was an embarrassing scenario in Taraba State when the state chairman allegedly dragged some members of the party to the police and they were charged to court in Jalingo.
“Sadly, the national leadership of the party is yet to intervene, this is not good for the party,” he said.
